The common European theme selected for 2020 was Heritage and Education: Learning for Life.

The Superintendence of Cultural Heritage, as national coordinator sought to re-start participation in this programme, since the last time Malta participated was in 2013.  Local stakeholders and NGOs participated in organising a total of 6 events during the first weekend of October, when EHDs are celebrated in Malta.

The Superintendence set up an Exhibition at its offices, which focused on ancient languages present in Maltese Archaeology and exhibited artefacts bearing inscriptions or legends.
