The mission of the Superintendence of Cultural Heritage is to fulfill the duties of the State in ensuring the protection and accessibility of Malta’s cultural heritage, as defined by the Cultural Heritage Act.

The Superintendence is responsible for the surveillance of activities related to the control, direction, monitoring, regulation, investigation and recording of cultural heritage.
