Retrieval of Artefact
The Superintendence was alerted to a social media post relating to a stone British Period Military Marker lying on the site of a rural track in the limits of Zabbar.
The Superintendence took immediate action to retrieve the stone marker to ensure its protection. The stone marker is now housed at the Superintendence’s repository and investigations and studies will be carried out to identify its original location. The marker bears the letters W.O. indicating that originally it was intended to demark property falling under the control of the War Office.
