The Superintendence of Cultural Heritage is celebrating its 20 year anniversary in 2023, following the enactment of the Cultural Heritage Act in 2002.

The Superintendence of Cultural Heritage is the national regulator of cultural heritage in the Maltese Islands, entrusted with duties ranging from promotion, to conservation, restoration, maintenance, excavation, research, and monitoring of cultural heritage, both movable and immovable.
